About

I started this blog years ago when I was a single mom, struggling to survive in Wine Country. The title of this blog is ironic, because I was surrounded by stay-at-home moms driving SUVs while I was trying scrape by on food stamps and diminished pride. But those were some of the best years of our lives, when the kids and I bonded over simple dinners and Netflix marathons, crazy weekend schedules at the soccer field, juggling my work and their school, and living a full life on a budget.

Things are much different now. The kids are now teens. One has moved out and is in college, the other will be graduating high school in 2019. We’re no longer a single parent family, but now a blended family with my husband and stepson. Life is still an adventure, and we’re loving every minute of it.

I don’t write here very much anymore, but every now and then I revisit this blog and write something new. If you’d like to keep up to date with what’s going on with me, visit my author page at crissilangwell.com. There, you can hear all about my books, writing, life, and more.

Thanks for following along.
