I loved when my kids were toddlers – especially when they gave me a little breathing room by taking a luxurious, much needed nap! It was a sad day when they outgrew them. How do you use the time your toddler is napping? And if your toddler has outgrown their nap, how do you make sure you can get everything you need done – or even some down time for yourself?

Swedish preschool bans gender
In a move to take the focus off of gender differences, once preschool in Sweden has banned gender and made great strides to make every aspect of their play and learning unisex. They have even taken away the words for “him” and “her”, and have replaced it with a made up word that means both. Are they onto something? Or is this going too far?
Casey Anthony NOT guilty
The hot topic in the news right now is the Not Guilty verdict in the Casey Anthony case. What are your thoughts on this? Was she guilty? Would you deem the verdict a just decision?
Summer Outdoor Movies
Every week, several towns are hosting Outdoor Movie showings for free. All you have to do is grab a blanket or low chairs, kick back with the fam, and enjoy a night snuggled under the stars watching a great movie. This Friday, Shrek 3 is playing in Petaluma and Megamind is showing in Rohnert Park. And next Tuesday, Rengo will be showing in Windsor. If you haven’t attended one of these events, let this week be your first time!
