Sonoma County Harvest Fair
Sonoma County Fairgrounds (1350 Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa)

More than just a wine festival, this is a fair that celebrates our county’s vast harvest through food and agriculture. With so many great activities, your kids will be thoroughly entertained. You may even get a chance to do some wine tasting!

FondoSonoma Festival
Finley Center (2060 West College Ave, Santa Rosa)
Oct 1, 10am – 6pm
The big news is the GranFondo race winding through the hills of King Ridge. But during and after the race is a festival to party it up. Live music, food, beer, and fun activities make this an event the whole community will want to enjoy whether in the GranFondo race, cheering someone on, or are just wondering what in Sam’s Hill the GranFondo is.

Fandango
Petaluma Adobe Historic Park (3325 Old Adobe Rd, Petaluma)
Oct 1, 12pm – 4pm
The annual celebration celebrates life from the 1840s, including celebration dances from that era taught by the Alta California Dance Company. There will be refreshments and plenty of activities for the kids. But don’t let this be the year to skip the event, as the park’s slated closure makes this the last Fandango ever.

Mac Computer Expo 2011
Petaluma Community Center (320 N. McDowell Blvd, Petaluma)
Oct1, 10am – 5pm
The 18th annual Macintosh Computer Expo or MCE is held each year in Petaluma. Thousands of Macintosh enthusiasts come from all over the San Francisco Bay Area to visit with Macintosh product exhibitors and attend informational workshops. Since 1992 MCE has grown in attendance from a few hundred people to being the largest expo of its type in the Bay Area second only to Macworld Expo in San Francisco.

Mutt Strut Dog Walkathon & Pet Fair
Rohnert Park Community Center (5401 Snyder Ln., Rohnert Park)
Oct 1, 10am – 3pm
Snoopy leads the gang in the 2nd annual Mutt Strut – a 1-mile walkathon for canines and their humans. Then it’s off to the Pet Fair where everyone can join in on contests, demonstrations, and entertainment. Don’t miss out on some yummy treats in the food court, or the chance to have your picture taken with your furry friends.
Price: $5 per dog for walkathon
