Last minute Father’s Day gifts
It’s still not too late to help your kids find that perfect way to show dad their thanks for all he does. Already have a great idea? Share it in the comments!
Why kids need fathers
Dads have a very special place in shaping the way their kids grow up. For Father’s Day, I shared the ways my own dad made it a point to be a part of our lives. Happy Father’s Day to all of you!
When Father’s Day isn’t happy
Sometimes Father’s Day isn’t a day to celebrate. For those who have lost their dads or who don’t have good memories of their fathers, the holiday is a painful reminder of all they don’t have. I invite you to share how you cope with Father’s Day when it no longer feels happy.
Pointing out our friends flaws
Gwyneth Paltrow made the ultimate faux pas by pointing out the belly fat of one her friends while they were taping a TV show. The experience was embarrassing for the friend, but encouraged them to make a change. Even if it were done in private, would you point out the flaws in one of your friends to help them out?
My flabby friends
Speaking of flabby friends, I have a couple of them – namely my right and left thigh, among a couple other friends. I recently installed a full length mirror in the bedroom, and what I saw in the reflection was a bit shocking. But I also came to some realizations. Do you ever feel unhappy about your appearance?
Events this weekend
Create some family fun with some of these fun events going on this weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be the annual Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic. Coddingtown’s Whole Foods will be hosting a Children’s Health Fair in their store, as well as Zumba for Kids. There are also train rides, a kids’ concert, and more. Check out the Events page to keep up to date on family friendly events in Sonoma County.
Have a wonderful week, and I’ll see you on the forums!
