It’s the last week of summer vacation! We had a fabulous time living it up in San Diego for our family’s last hurrah. I’ve shared pictures of it over in my blog. Check it out, and share some of your own stories or photos of your family vacation in the forums at SantaRosaMom.com. In the meantime, here’s what’s going on in the forums:
School’s starting: good news or bad?
I was really gung-ho about summer vacation starting a couple months ago. But now that school’s here, I’m just as enthusiastic about summer vacation ending. How about you? Are you looking forward to school starting? Or do you need a bit more summer vacation?
For some of you, the first day of school holds a whole different meaning – it’s the FIRST day of school ever! Any of you have kindergarten newbies? Or any kindergarten graduates want to dish about what that first day felt like? Join the conversation in the forums!
School Shopping Deals
I found some awesome deals when it came to school shopping, and have shared them with you. Any of you find some cool savings as they get their kids prepared for school? Well, don’t keep them to yourselves! Pass them along in the discussion already started!
Still school shopping? Be on the lookout for more tips on how to save money on your child’s school supplies. Coming soon in my Wine Country Mom blog.
This weekend marks the consignment event for Tiny Hinies, the store that specializes in repurposing used children’s clothing and items. Being that the event is so large, they’re holding it at University of Sports. If you’re interested in a good deal as well as recycling children’s clothing in great condition, check out the savings at this event!
You’ll also love Whole Foods event this weekend: Zumba for Kids! On Saturday, kids will have a blast jumping and grooving, learning a new way to exercise in a way that feels like play.
Classifieds: Girls Clothes
One of our moms has a large supply of girls clothing her daughter has outgrown. They’re all in great shape and mostly 24mos/2T. Buy the lot for $150, OBO.
Have a wonderful rest of your summer vacation week, and I’ll see you on the forums!
