This weekend's Family Fun

Looking for some family fun this weekend? Here’s our five favorite happenings:

Tolay Fall Festival
The Fall Fest continues at Tolay, ending this Sunday. Lots of harvest activities for kids to adult will give the whole family a day of fun. Gather your pumpkins, and even a colorful gourd or two at this annual festival celebrating fall.

Reptile Bazaar
Lizards, snakes, and other crawly, slithery scaled creatures will delight reptile enthusiasts of any age. The 15th annual show will have lots of great vendors selling reptiles and supplies to get you started, or enhance the habitat you’ve already created.

Mask Making Workshop
The Sonoma Garden Park and Arts Guild will be offering a free workshop at Sonoma’s Harvest Market for kids who would like to make a creative costume mask. From sparkly to spooky, the guild will be providing all materials to concoct a truly fabulous disguise.

Landpath’s Fall Music Festival
Live music, good food and beverage, and activities that include fly fishing demos, Halloween arts and crafts, nature hikes and more make this benefit festival the must-attend event of the weekend.  Admission donation: $20 adults, $5 kids 7 & up

Petaluma Mother’s Club Fall Carnival
Filled with activities for kids, this fun carnival will have jumpy houses, a bake sale, cupcake walk, arts & crafts, fun shows and entertainment, and even a 4-H petting zoo. Prizes will be given at fun games, and James K will be performing his music live.

Bonus events:

YMCA Halloween Carnival
A surefire way to keep the munchkins entertained and in the Halloween spirit at this annual carnival put on by the YMCA. The club puts a lot of work into a day of fun that includes games, prizes, a haunted house, jump house, DJ music, and more.

Friends of the Library Book Fair
Add to your literary library in an inexpensive way at this anticipated book sale. Fri (3-7:30p) is preview day with a $5 admission, Saturday and Sunday (10a-5p) is free admission, with Sunday a half-price day for books. Monday (2-7p) is Bag Day – anything you can fit in a bag for $4.
